Emission Nebula in Cygnus
 
This Sharpless object , catalogued as SH2-122 is a circular cloud of hydrogen of 15' if aparent size, crossed by a dark band and excited by a central star that emits huge amounts of UV light. It is located in the Cygnus constellation, about 1.5º from Deneb.

Distance to Earth: 5600
light years.
